# White-label the Arist App in Teams

This step requires you to already have customization assets ready. Refer to this
article in case you have not done so already
[https://help.arist.co/article/1091-how-to-prepare-teams-white-label-customizations-with-official-microsoft-specifications].
The following steps must be completed by your Teams administrators as well as an
Arist user with administrator role in your organization.

1. HOW TO CUSTOMIZE OVER-ALL LOOK OF ARIST

In your Teams Admin Center, navigate to Teams apps > Manage apps > Arist

You will see two ways to customize. Please note that the locations of these may
change as the Teams admin center evolves:

 1. At the top, where the floating app card is, look for a "Customize" link. If
you set it here, you will apply the relevant customizations to ANY user on
your tenant who sees the Arist app.

 2. Under the "Settings and customization" tab, you can optionally apply a
different set of customizations on a group-by-group basis. While this is
possible, Arist recommends sticking to the first option to ensure a
consistent user experience, and using Arist's "Channels" feature for
grouping different types of communications, which is explored next in this
    article.

When using the first option to apply relevant customizations to all users,
please also update Arist's Teams delivery sender name and icon. This can be done
by your Arist administrator or representative in the Arist web application, at
Settings > Delivery Methods > Teams.

2. HOW TO CUSTOMIZE GROUPINGS OF CONVERSATIONS

Arist also has a built-in Channels feature to group relevant conversations
together. If configured, you can assign an appropriate channel whenever you
enroll a learner into a course.

To configure Channels, you must be an Arist administrator. Log into Arist and go
to Organization Settings > Channels. Arist will ask for a name and image for
each channel you create.

3. (OPTIONAL) APPLY WHITE-LABELING TO ARIST COMMS APP

Arist v3 adds the "Arist Comms" application which sends messages via Chat
instead of the Teams Notification app. Perform the same actions above but for
the Arist Comms App.
